Home of Our Lovable Ragdoll Cats & Kittens

"One cat just leads to another." - Ernest Hemingway

Our home cattery is located in the northern panhandle of Idaho where we are dedicated to raising healthy, lovable Ragdoll cats and kittens in our home. We breed traditional Blue and Seal Mitteds and Bicolors.  Our cats and kittens are our fur children, and as such, we believe they are pets first and foremost and live freely with us in our home.  Although this is not necessarily a bad thing, we cannot imagine placing our kittens in a "kitten room".  The joy of watching them go about their daily activities and play is beyond measure.  To us, it is one of life's greatest treasures. Of course, rest assured, we go to great lengths for their safety and well being.  Momma cats and their newborns are given a safe haven in my master bedroom closest for the first 3-4 weeks.  From there, they live the next few weeks in our master bedroom until they are old enough to venture into the rest of our home. Our grown up cats can be found on and around our feet and on top of and under our bed covers!  My husband and I sleep on one half of our king sized bed while the real owners of this home sleep on the other half.  And naturally, certain ones vie for who gets to sleep next to me or my husband!  They do make exceptional feet warmers.  Each and every cat/kitten is part of our family and are given much love and attention everyday.  Because we keep our babies until they are a minimum of 12 weeks and older, they become very well socialized with humans, other cats, small children and our family dog, Kayla.

All our breeding cats have undergone an echocardiogram and scanned negative for HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) at Washington State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital.  They are all Blood Type A. Although there may be many genes responsible for HCM in all cats, our breeding cats have tested Normal/Normal for the one Ragdoll gene and the one Maine Coon gene that research has thus found. We will continue to test them as new tests become available for their health and to strive for the goal of maintaining a healthy breeding program.  Our cats are Ringworm free and all have tested negative of FELV (Leukemia) and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus).

Before leaving for your home, your new kitten will receive age appropriate vaccinations (usually 2), be dewormed, and spayed/neutered along with an examination by our licensed veterinarian.  They will be litter box trained, taught to use various scratching posts and eating a quality name brand canned and dry food.

We believe declawing (Tendonectomy) is mutilation and amputation, not to mention painful.  Our kittens have all been trained to use various scratching devices and will only need further encouragement after they arrive in their new home.  It is only natural because they are in a new environment that they may try to use unsuitable areas. With gentle reminders, they will soon adapt to the appropriate scratching devices you have chosen for them.  I am always available to help you through this process.  Please read the following link regarding declawing...it is very enlightening.  http://www.declawing.com/

Ragdolls are very trusting and loving by nature. Because of this, they should never be allowed to roam freely outside without proper protection.  Of course, placing them in a harness and leash and going on an outside adventure is great fun for all!  Ragdolls generally do not defend themselves if confronted with danger.  Allowing them to be indoor/outdoor or outdoor only cats is forbidden in our contract.
